A photo representation of the Bitcoin event, An pseudonymous user named JA37 became the first person to mine Bitcoin on a plane
A user from the Bitcointalk Forum by the name of JA37 is the thought to be the first person in the world to mine Bitcoin on an airplane. The user claimed to be using onboard wifi to mine BTC at around 18,000 feet.

This novelty reflects the low amount of compute and energy need to mine bitcoin in 2011, compared with today when miners need specialized hardware and cheap electricity to be profitable.
