On June 4, 2018, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak expressed his optimism about Bitcoin’s future, echoing Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s sentiment that it could become the world’s single currency. Speaking at the Money 20/20 conference in Amsterdam, Wozniak shared his admiration for Bitcoin’s underlying technology and its decentralized nature, which he believed could transcend national boundaries and traditional banking systems.

Wozniak highlighted the purity of Bitcoin as a currency, governed by mathematical properties rather than the potentially manipulative policies of individual countries. He appreciated the fact that there is a finite number of bitcoins, which counters the inflationary tendencies of traditional currencies.

His comments came at a time when Bitcoin was experiencing widespread attention and volatility, sparking debates about its viability as a stable and universal currency. Wozniak’s support lent significant credibility to the bitcoinmovement, given his status as a respected innovator and technologist.
