Bill Miller announces 50% of networth into Bitcoin

On January 10, 2022, renowned investor Bill Miller revealed that he had allocated 50% of his personal net worth into Bitcoin and investments closely related to the cryptocurrency. This announcement was made during a video interview with WealthTrack.
 

Miller, who is known for his remarkable track record of beating the S&P 500 index for 15 consecutive years from 1991 to 2005, had been investing in Bitcoin since around 2014 when the price was approximately $200. He continued to buy more over time and took advantage of the price dip in 2021 when Bitcoin fell to around $30,000 from its high of just under $69,000.
 

He expressed his view of Bitcoin as “digital gold,” highlighting its strictly limited supply and considering it an “insurance policy against financial catastrophe” as well as a powerful investment tool.
