Bitcoin and related slogans were projected onto the building of the Bank Of England

On May 3rd, 2021, a group of Bitcoin advocates projected pro-Bitcoin messages onto the Bank of England’s building. This act was part of a campaign to promote Bitcoin and its benefits over the traditional financial systems. The projections included statements such as “Bitcoin fixes this” and “Printing money is stealing from the poor,” which were aimed at highlighting the flaws in the current monetary system and the potential of Bitcoin as an alternative.
 

The event was a symbolic gesture to draw public and media attention to the growing debate around the role of Bitcoin in the economy. It coincided with discussions in the UK Parliament about the future of Bitcoin and the exploration of a potential UK Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), often referred to as ‘Britcoin’.
