Electronic Frontier Foundation accept Bitcoin donations
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) first began accepting Bitcoin donations in 2011. However, due to uncertainties and the complex legal landscape surrounding digital currencies at the time, they ceased accepting Bitcoin after approximately six months. The EFF resumed accepting Bitcoin donations on May 17, 2013, after a two-year hiatus, when some of the legal ambiguity had been clarified. This move was aligned with their commitment to support digital liberty and to promote cryptographic experimentation as part of their advocacy for internet users’ rights.
