Elon Musk & Tesla Began Accepting Bitcoin

On March 24, 2021, Tesla, the electric car company led by CEO Elon Musk, announced that it would start accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment for its vehicles. This announcement made Tesla one of the first major companies to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.
 

Elon Musk stated that Tesla would operate Bitcoin nodes directly and would retain the Bitcoin it received, rather than converting it to fiat currency. This means that when someone purchases a Tesla with Bitcoin, the price of the car could potentially rise or fall over time, depending on the value of Bitcoin.
