First Top 10 Ranked UFC Fighter To Be Paid In Bitcoin

Matheus Nicolau, the #8-ranked UFC flyweight fighter, signed a deal to receive his future fight earnings in Bitcoin through the payroll service, Bitwage. 

This made Nicolau the first Latin American UFC athlete to be paid in Bitcoin. He expressed his excitement about receiving his earnings in Bitcoin, citing concerns about rising inflation and the desire to secure the value of his work. 

Nicolau’s manager, Vinícius Las Casas, also expressed a bullish stance on Bitcoin and will be using Bitwage to receive a portion of his wages in Bitcoin.
