Malaysian restaurant becomes the first in the country to accept bitcoin payments

The restaurant, located in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, began accepting Bitcoin to attract tech-savvy locals and bitcoin tourists by providing more payment options.

To facilitate transactions, Nasi Dagang Capital utilized a merchant payment software developed specifically for the Malaysian market by Arsyan Ismail, CEO of the company ked.ai. The software, available for Android devices, allowed for the processing of Bitcoin payments and the deposit of the equivalent local currency into the merchant’s bank account.
