Reddit Gold begins accepting Bitcoin as payment for subscriptions

On February 14, 2013, Reddit began accepting Bitcoin as a payment option for Reddit Gold subscriptions. This was made possible through a partnership with Coinbase, a Bitcoin wallet and platform that facilitates transactions with bitcoins.


The integration allowed users to purchase Reddit Gold, which adds premium features to their accounts, using Bitcoin in addition to traditional payment methods like credit cards and PayPal.
