The first football transfer paid for in Bitcoin

Harunustaspor, an amateur football team from Turkey, became the first football team to pay for the acquisition of a player using bitcoins. The club signed player Omer Faruk Kiroglu in January 2018, and part of his signing fee was paid in Bitcoin, making it a pioneering moment in sports transactions involving bitcoin.
